       What is Digitalization

                           

Digitalization is the result of a blend of digital technology with almost everything encountered in everyday life. In this way, many services in the world are now being digitized. It is fast, efficient, and cost-effective.

 Accordingly, the education, healthcare, financial services, business and tourism sectors are getting great advances.

Due to the current COVID virus, digitalization has been used in our school system.
Accordingly, the Department of Education has included an Information Technology and Digital Technology into the syllabus.

Digital curriculum development in Sri Lanka also needs to be updated. Because digital knowledge is rapidly spreading in the digital world.

In Sri Lanka, however, the problem of using digitalization into the school system is to face a lot of problems.

Example of:-

Lack of equipment to teach with digitalization and students digital knowledge is poor. So, This creates a gap between teachers and children.  Therefore, the issue of digitization will be raised for both parties.


However, it is important to incorporate the subject of digitalization into the school textbook with good management. as well as Digital equipment for this purpose should also be provided to schools and other educational institutions.
And so on Cybersecurity should also be taken into consideration when using these Internet facilities.

This digitalization can offer advantages over traditional teaching methods.

So, This government provide infrastructure facilities and technical facilities for students and schools to learn through the Internet. Accordingly, one of the main responsibilities of teachers is to provide quality education to the students through this digitalization.
